Become a volunteer!
As a small society and charity, volunteering with Project Mongolia is pretty hands on. The fundraising, travel arrangements and activities in Mongolia will be mainly organised by you (with help from our experianced committee members), meaning it will be a challenge but a hugely rewarding one, giving you plenty of experiance of organising and working in a team.
The opportunity to travel and live in Mongolia is not one that comes about everyday and we will try to make sure you make the most of your time in Mongolia, preparing you and supporting you along the way.
Weekly meetings with your team and organised socials will mean there will be plenty of time to get bonding before you travel, there is a very special connection you make after you've sold glowsticks in Potterow, or even better, Hive...
There will be training prior to your trip out to Mongolia. A weekend for the Camp Project will run through activities we have found to be fun to play with the children, as well as lesson plans and sorting a provisional timetable for the camps. You will also get the chance to learn a dance with the Edinburgh University Modern Dance Society to teach to the children - they love to dance!
The First Aiders will receive training in order to teach on the project. There are no previous First Aid skills required as you will learn what you need to know before you go.
