About us

Orginally part of a larger organisation, Project Mongolia decided to stick with its social aims and moved away to form the project it is now. A registered charity and a society at the University of Edinburgh, it is run by students. The committee recruits new volunteers, giving advice on fundraising and helping the teams to organise their trip. All of the committee have been out to Mongolia on a project and have first-hand experiance of being part of a Project Mongolia team.

Project Mongolia is currently affiliated with a Mongolian NGO called Children and Young People’s Protection and Development (CYPPD). Working in partnership with CYPPD, Project Mongolia aims to support and fundraise for community-led social development schemes. The projects the society support and that you can have the chance to help run in Mongolia are primarily educational and social.
