First Aid Project

The First Aid Project is a team that goes out to Ulaanbaatar primarily working in the ger district of the capital teaching First Aid. Many workers in factories and organisations have very little awareness of basic first aid training, and this project aims to provide training that could enhance living and working conditions. In the Ger district of UlaanBaatar, living conditions are often very basic and so access to what we would consider basic medical supplies are limited. Our team of volunteers receive training prior to their trip in order to learn first aid that can be of use in an area with little medical supplies.

Places that our First Aiders have taught at include the Ulaanbaatar City Museum and the IV Medical Supplies Factory in UlaanBaatar. This summer the team also took part in two day courses at local children and community development centers. As well as this there is the oppurtunity to travel further afield and teach in more rural areas.
